Christine Hurtsellers, CFA Christine Hurtsellers, CFA Chief Executive Officer, Voya Investment Management Total Years of Experience: 30
Christine Hurtsellers is the chief executive officer of Voya Investment Management, the asset management subsidiary of Voya Financial. Christine is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Voya’s asset management business including institutional, retail funds, retirement and proprietary portfolio segments. Based in New York, Voya Investment Management has additional domestic investment operations in Atlanta, Georgia, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Windsor, Connecticut and global operations in London, Hong Kong and Sydney. Prior to becoming CEO, Christine was chief investment officer of fixed income at Voya Investment Management, responsible for leading a team of more than 100 fixed income investment professionals. Before being appointed CIO, she had been head of our structured finance team. Prior to joining the firm, Christine served in a variety of roles at the Federal Home Mortgage Corporation, including leading the $650 billion agency guaranteed retained portfolio team and managing such products as mortgage derivatives, adjustable rate mortgages and collateralized mortgage obligations. Earlier in her career, Christine was a portfolio manager responsible for mortgages and structured products at Alliance Capital Management and Banc One, and a client consultant at Pentalpha Capital group. She is a board member of Pomona Capital and a member of the U.S. Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee. Christine is also on the board of councilors for the Carter Center and the Southeast Regional Board of UNICEF USA. Christine received a BA in finance with high honors from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Michael Bell heads the corporate finance planning and accounting groups for Voya Investment Management, responsible for management and financial reporting for the consolidated investment management business. Michael is also responsible for the development of the multiyear strategic business plans, interim forecasts and capital deployment. His role also includes coordination of audit activities and maintenance of the internal control environment. He leads a team of finance professionals that are responsible for business and product profit analysis and projections, technology procurement and financial systems. Prior to joining the firm, he was at the Hartford Financial Services Group dedicated to Hartford Investment Management (HIMCO) and Hartford Life. Most recently, he served as CFO for HIMCO leading a team of finance professionals and responsible for that group’s finance organization supporting the Hartford’s general account and institutional client investments. Prior to this position, Michael held various roles at the Hartford of increasing responsibility, including the CFO for the Institutional Solutions Group, chief accounting officer leading the investment accounting function and director of Investment Accounting Policy, Reporting and Taxation. Before joining the Hartford in 2002, Michael spent 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, as a senior manager focusing on insurance and financial services clients. He received his BS in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Connecticut.

Ewan Cameron is head of strategic and corporate planning and chief of staff for Voya Investment Management. His responsibilities include setting the strategic agenda for the management committee, leading and implementing key strategic initiatives on behalf of the business, facilitating CEO communications and serving as a primary interface to the broader Voya Financial organization. Prior to joining the firm, Ewan worked for seven years in Voya’s predaccessor ING insurance businesses in a variety of finance and strategic planning roles in the Netherlands, Canada and the United States, including several years working exclusively on M&A activities. Ewan received a BBA in marketing from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and an MBA in strategy and international business from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He is a past participant in the University of Chicago’s Executive Education program.

Shaun Mathews is head of the client group at Voya Investment Management, where he oversees all asset management sales and client services functions including retail and institutional distribution, business development, marketing and client service activities. He also manages the mutual fund platform supporting all of Voya’s channels and businesses. Prior to his current position, Shaun was the head of retail funds for the firm, where he was responsible for Voya's U.S. retail funds business and the platform for the proprietary and externally managed mutual funds available through the firm’s wealth management businesses. Previously, he served as chief marketing officer for Voya Financial Services, where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing. Shaun joined the firm with the acquisition of Aetna Financial Services (AFS). He began his career with Aetna, where he held a number of positions including head of marketing and product management for AFS and general manager of the individual annuity and small plan 401 businesses. Shaun received a BA in economics from Holy Cross College and an MBA in finance and accounting from Cornell University.

Kevin P. McMahon Kevin P. McMahon Senior Managing Director, Head of Technology and Operations Total Years of Experience: 37
Kevin McMahon is head of technology and operations, responsible for all technology and investment operations activities for Voya Investment Management. In this capacity, his focus centers on creating and supporting the appropriate technical and operational environments necessary to service the entire investment value chain from initial client contact and onboarding, portfolio implementation and management, trade execution and all post trade execution activities. Kevin is a member of the management committee of the investment management organization and of the operations committee of the Voya Financial organization. His IT responsibilities include infrastructure service delivery, application development and support, IT security and architecture. From an operations perspective, he is responsible for all matters that occur after a trade is executed in the financial markets. Other responsibilities include data management, project management and business resilience. As a function of these activities, he has a high degree of vendor interaction and management, including offshore IT staff augmentation partners. Kevin has led many asset management implementation efforts domestically and globally as a function of his responsibilities during his career. Before joining Voya, he worked for JPMorgan Investment Management for 18 years in a number of IT capacities in the Americas. Prior to joining JPMorgan, he worked in technical capacities at Chase Manhattan Bank and Union Carbide Corporation. As a function of his time in the industry, he is an active participant on a number of technology and business related client advisory boards.

Michael Pratt is the head of human resources for Voya Investment Management , responsible for setting the human capital strategy and direction. Previously, Michael was the senior HR generalist supporting the firm's distribution platform and was most recently responsible for the HR support for various investment platforms. Prior to joining the firm, Michael held roles of increasing responsibility at Legg Mason Global Asset Management and its predecessor firm Citigroup Asset Management. Michael began his career in recruiting at the Forum Group and worked in software sales before joining Citigroup Asset Management. Michael holds both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Marist College. Michael serves in an advisory role to the Board of Governors of the Money Management Institute (MMI) and the Gateway to Leadership diversity program, a partnership between MMI and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).

Michael Pytosh is chief investment officer, equities at Voya Investment Management. Mike also serves as a portfolio manager for the large cap growth and mid cap growth strategies. Previously at the firm, Mike covered the technology sector as an analyst. Prior to joining the firm, he was president of Lincoln Equity Management, LLC and a technology analyst. Mike also served as a technology analyst at JPMorgan Investment Management and an analyst at Lehman Brothers. Mike started his career at American Express. Amir Sahibzada is chief risk officer for Voya Investment Management. He is a member of the management committee and reports to the chief risk officer of Voya, maintaining a functional reporting line to the chief executive officer of Voya IM. In this role, Amir has responsibility for an integrated, company-wide platform that covers investment and operational risk management. Previously, Amir was head of investment risk, overseeing all market, credit and counterparty risk management activities across Voya investment portfolios. Prior to that, Amir was head of traded risk management for ABN AMRO Bank North America and its subsidiaries. Dina Santoro is a managing director and head of product and marketing strategy for Voya Investment Management, responsible for leading and executing the strategic product and marketing agenda for Voya Investment Management including product development and management, messaging and strategy for institutional and intermediary channels. Prior to joining Voya, she was a managing director and head of product strategy and distribution at QMA, a global investment management division of Prudential that manages over $100 billion in equity and multi-asset class solutions for institutional and sub-advisory clients globally. At QMA, she served as part of the executive management team that was responsible for shaping organizational strategy and managing the business operations of the firm. She oversaw the client and business development functions, including consultant relations, marketing and product development for both institutional and retail audiences. Before joining QMA in 2004, she was a senior vice president, head of marketing at Jennison Associates. Prior to that role, she was a vice president at JP Morgan where she managed a team of marketing specialists responsible for product positioning for new business development and client retention. Dina received a BS in marketing from Boston College and a MBA from Columbia University. She holds the Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Charles M. Shaffer is a managing director and head of institutional distribution for Voya Investment Management. Prior to joining Voya, he was the global head of distribution at Credit Suisse Asset Management, having been promoted from various positions, including the global head of alternatives distribution and the head of distribution for the Americas. Before his move into asset management, Charlie ran the global transition management team at Credit Suisse. He previously held similar roles at Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley. Charlie began his career as a securities attorney. He holds a joint JD and MA from Duke University and is a graduate of Princeton University where he earned a Woodrow Wilson School Award while pursuing his BA degree in English.

Matt Toms is chief investment officer of fixed income at Voya Investment Management. In this role, he leads a team of more than 100 investment professionals. Before becoming CIO, Matt was head of public fixed income at Voya Investment Management, overseeing the investment teams responsible for investment grade corporate, high yield corporate, structured products, mortgage-backed securities, emerging market debt and money market strategies for Voya’s general account and third-party business. In this capacity, Matt led the fixed income investment strategy and portfolio management process in close partnership with Christine Hurtsellers, former CIO of fixed income and now chief executive officer of Voya Investment Management; he also served as a lead portfolio manager on many of Voya's multi-sector fixed income strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked with Calamos Investments, where he established and grew their fixed income business. He also has prior experience with Northern Trust and Lincoln National within both public and private corporate markets as well as across multi-sector and global bond portfolio management. Jake Tuzza is head of intermediary distribution at Voya Investment Management, responsible for distribution of Voya’s investment solutions, including mutual funds, SMAs, closed-end funds and sub-advisory services. He leads sales, business development, relationship management, training and service teams, organized to provide proactive client coverage to national, regional and independent broker dealers, planners and RIAs along with the DCIO and sub-advisory markets. Previously, Jake was head of sales and business development covering the national broker dealers, private wealth and advisory, RIAs and bank trusts. Jake was also head of business development, responsible for the firm’s relationships at major financial institutions and the placement of Voya’s investment solutions. Prior to joining the firm, Jake worked as an equity analyst for a hedge fund and began his career at the institutional fixed income trading desk at Merrill Lynch. Mark Weber is senior managing director and head of structured assets, loans and alternatives for Voya Investment Management and a member of the management committee. Mark is responsible for the global structured asset and alternative businesses and the Senior Loan investment platform. He also has served as acting chief investment officer (CIO) of Investment Management in The Hague in 2012, with responsibilities for investment teams in Europe and the Middle East and oversight of investment functions including research, trading and investment services. Mark joined the firm as global head of marketing in The Hague, having served in that capacity for Baring Asset Management (then a firm-affiliated company) for the previous five years in London and Boston. Prior to that, Mark was with Banque Paribas Group, where he held a number of debt capital markets, investment banking and investment management positions in Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore and New York, including co-head of institutional asset management, general manager of the Singapore corporate bank and head of investment banking in Tokyo. Previously, he was an associate at Davis, Polk & Wardwell, a New York law firm. Mark received a BA magna cum laude in history from Yale University and a JD from the University of Virginia Law School.

Paul Zemsky is the chief investment officer and founder of the Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions Team (MASS) at Voya Investment Management.
