Michael Schierhold is the head of asset-backed finance for the private credit team at Voya Investment Management. His team is responsible for originating, underwriting, negotiating and managing transactions focused within fund finance, real assets, commercial and consumer sectors. Michael joined the firm following Voya’s integration of certain assets and teams comprising the substantial majority of Allianz Global Investors U.S. (“AllianzGI”) business, where he was a director responsible for sourcing, underwriting and monitoring private credit investments across a variety of sectors. Prior to that, he was an assistant vice president at CION Investments, supporting underwriting of commercial finance and transportation transactions. Michael earned a joint master’s degree from the WHU/Beisheim School of Management and Bucerius Law School and a BA from Colgate University. He is a CFA® Charterholder.
